QUICK OVERVIEW
Private chef / home cook wanted in Dubai Creek Harbour.
Hours: 3 working hours per day, four days per week — Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Timing: Mainly lunchtime; occasional evenings by agreement. Weekly schedule agreed one week in advance.
Cuisine: Mainly European / Continental, usually for two people.
Salary: AED 3,000 per month, with opportunities for performance-based increases. Groceries paid separately.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced, reliable cook to prepare fresh meals for a private household. We value consistently tasty food, excellent hygiene, reliability and the ability to work independently.
SCHEDULE AND SALARY
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
• Three working hours per scheduled workday, including cooking, meal preparation and kitchen cleanup.
• The main working time is around lunchtime. By agreement, some visits may take place in the evening instead.
• The exact timings and meal plan are agreed together one week in advance.
• If convenient for you, an occasional split day of 1.5 hours at lunchtime and 1.5 hours in the evening would be a welcome bonus. This is optional and is not a requirement.
• Fixed starting salary of AED 3,000 per month. Salary increases are possible based on performance, consistency and overall satisfaction.
• We value the quality of your work and the results you deliver.
• Groceries are paid for separately by the household.
ABOUT THE FOOD
We enjoy well-prepared everyday meals, mainly European and Continental cuisine. Examples include:
• Pasta carbonara and spaghetti Bolognese.
• Chicken with rice.
• Steak and beef skewers.
• Burgers and fries.
• Butter chicken with rice.
• Classic brown/gravy-style sauces and cream sauces.
One person has specific food preferences and does not eat fruit or vegetables. These are personal preferences, not food allergies. Separate utensils or strict separation between the two people's meals are not required. Exact permitted ingredients, including ingredients used in sauces and seasonings, will be explained and agreed before cooking begins.
Pork bacon and minced pork are among the ingredients we would like to use. Being comfortable preparing these ingredients is a welcome bonus, but is NOT a requirement for the position. Please mention whether you are comfortable cooking pork.
Occasionally, you will prepare two versions of a meal, or two similar dishes in parallel: a lighter, balanced version for one person and a version adapted to the other person's preferences.
We provide dish ideas and feedback and are open to trying suitable new dishes. You should confidently choose recipes, ingredients, quantities and cooking methods independently.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare consistently tasty meals, ready at the agreed lunch or dinner time.
• When planned, prepare additional portions for a later meal or the following day within the same visit, with appropriate storage and reheating instructions.
• Plan upcoming meals with us and suggest suitable variations.
• Check existing ingredients and provide complete shopping lists with quantities in advance. The household will order the groceries.
• Follow the agreed food preferences and clarify unfamiliar ingredients or substitutions before using them.
• Keep ingredients fresh, correctly stored and organised.
• Wash all cookware, utensils and dishes used; clean work surfaces, the hob and sink; and remove cooking waste after each visit.
• Leave the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next visit.
You will have a very large, modern kitchen reserved for your use. The kitchen will be your area of responsibility.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Proven experience as a professional cook, home cook or private chef.
• Strong practical skills in the dishes and cooking styles described above.
• Excellent personal hygiene and food-handling standards.
• Ability to work independently, manage time and adapt to feedback.
• Clear communication in English.
• Punctuality, professionalism and respect for household privacy.
• Reliable availability on all four agreed weekdays in Dubai Creek Harbour.
