Title: Commis Chef (Urgent - Immediate Joining Required)
Reporting To: The Head / Sous Chef
Cuisine: Mediterranean / Lebanese
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To prepare, cook and serve any food in the menu item, delegated as your responsibility ensuring that the highest possible quality is maintained and that agreed standards for food preparation and presentation are met at all times to achieve the correct quality, appearance and portion size.
2. To adhere to restaurant procedures in regards to temperature checks, food labelling and dating, cleaning schedules and hygiene regulations at all times and ensuring that all records of such are updated and kept.
3. To monitor the quality and presentation of dishes so that only those which meet our highest standards are served to customers.
4. To assist with the acceptance and storage of deliveries and that all relevant restaurant procedures are adhered to.
5. To ensure you maintain the kitchen work areas to a clean, hygienic and in a tidy state at all times.
6. To ensure that temperature checks are carried daily out cording to the kitchen requirement and the safety & hygiene procedures are properly recorded time-to-time.
7. To assist in carrying out weekly and monthly kitchen inventory.
8. To remove any hazards and make safe any defects in the kitchen or equipment and report any problems to the Senior Chef on duty or Restaurant Manager.
9. To understand how the Restaurant’s Health and Safety Policy.
10. To comply with all the HSE guidelines of Dubai Municipality and safety requirements relating to chemicals and equipment used in the kitchen.
11. To be flexible in your work and assist colleagues when required and ensuring that communication between all sections and restaurant departments is efficient and polite.
12. To attend all meeting and training sessions in which you are required.
13. To observe the rules and procedures of the company
14. To carry out any other reasonable duty that may be requested by the Kitchen In charge
15. To report for duty, punctually, wearing the correct uniform
