Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the complete MEP project from mobilization to handover.
- Prepare and monitor MEP project schedules and work programs.
- Manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and ELV works.
- Coordinate MEP works with civil, structural, and architectural disciplines.
- Lead and manage MEP engineers, supervisors, and site teams.
- Manage MEP subcontractors and specialist contractors.
- Review MEP drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Review and coordinate shop drawings and material submittals.
- Prepare and manage RFIs, technical queries, and method statements.
- Monitor daily MEP construction activities and site progress.
- Ensure adequate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment are available.
- Coordinate procurement and timely delivery of MEP materials and equipment.
- Monitor long-lead MEP equipment and critical procurement items.
- Control MEP project costs, variations, and additional works.
- Review subcontractor progress, claims, and payment applications.
- Coordinate with the client, consultant, main contractor, and suppliers.
- Attend project progress and technical coordination meetings.
- Resolve MEP technical issues, clashes, and site coordination problems.
- Ensure MEP works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Ensure compliance with project quality and HSE requirements.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality control of MEP installations.
- Manage testing, commissioning, and authority inspection requirements.
- Monitor snagging, rectification, and outstanding MEP works.
- Ensure completion of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, and test reports.
- Lead final MEP handover and ensure successful project close-out.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, MS Project or Primavera P6, and MS Office.
