Supervise the maintenance team and oversee preventive and corrective work on buildings, equipment, and systems to keep facilities safe, functional, and compliant.
Key responsibilities
• Plan, assign, and supervise the daily work of technicians (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry)
• Prepare and implement the preventive maintenance schedule; ensure it is followed
• Inspect facilities and equipment regularly to identify faults, safety hazards, and repair needs
• Attend to breakdowns and emergency calls, prioritising by urgency and impact
• Raise material requests, manage spare parts inventory, and control maintenance costs
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialised works and AMC services; monitor their quality
• Maintain records: job cards, service reports, equipment history, and compliance certificates
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental procedures on site; conduct toolbox talks
• Train and evaluate team members; manage shift rosters and attendance
• Report maintenance status, costs, and recurring issues to the Facilities/Property Manager
Requirements
• Diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or facilities engineering (trade certification acceptable with experience)
• 3–5 years' maintenance experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory role
• Hands-on knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life-safety systems
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
• Familiarity with CMMS/maintenance software and MS Office
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Available for on-call duty, shifts, and emergency response
