Read and interpret structural drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and reinforcement details.
Cut, bend, and shape reinforcing steel bars using manual and mechanical tools.
Position and fix reinforcement bars, mesh, and steel cages in foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, and other concrete structures.
Tie reinforcement bars securely using binding wire and hand tools.
Install spacers, chairs, and supports to maintain the required concrete cover.
Ensure reinforcement is installed according to approved drawings and engineering specifications.
Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, carpenters, and other construction workers to complete tasks efficiently.
Inspect reinforcement before concrete pouring and rectify any issues if required.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Follow all site health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Keep the work area clean and organized.
