Job Title: Battery Claim Inspector
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Location: Field-Based – Customer Locations
Number of Vacancies: 5
Job Summary
The Battery Claim Inspector is responsible for visiting customers’ shops and other designated locations to inspect batteries submitted for warranty claims, assess their condition, identify possible causes of failure, and provide accurate inspection reports to support warranty claim decisions.
The role requires technical knowledge of automotive batteries, strong observation and reporting skills, and the ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle for daily field visits.
Key Responsibilities
1. Visit customers’ shops, workshops, and other designated locations to inspect batteries submitted for warranty claims.
2. Verify battery details, including brand, model, serial number, manufacturing date, and warranty validity.
3. Conduct battery inspections and perform relevant diagnostic tests using appropriate testing equipment.
4. Identify and document possible causes of battery failure, including manufacturing defects, misuse, improper installation, charging system issues, or other external factors.
5. Take clear photographs and maintain supporting evidence for each warranty claim inspection.
6. Prepare accurate inspection reports with findings, test results, and recommendations for further action.
7. Coordinate with the Battery Claims Team regarding inspection findings, pending cases, and warranty claim status.
8. Communicate professionally with customers and explain inspection procedures and findings when required.
9. Ensure all inspections are conducted fairly and in accordance with company warranty policies and procedures.
10. Collect eligible warranty-claim batteries and deliver them to the company’s designated location.
11. Maintain inspection tools and equipment in good working condition.
12. Plan daily field visits efficiently and submit visit reports on time.
13. Maintain proper records and confidentiality of customer and company information.
14. Perform other duties related to battery claims and inspections as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Shall have experience in automotive technology, electrical systems, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Previous experience in automotive battery inspection, warranty claims, battery testing, or automotive electrical systems is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of automotive batteries, battery testing procedures, and charging systems.
• Ability to use battery testers and other relevant diagnostic equipment.
• Must hold a valid UAE driving license and be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Willingness to travel daily to customer shops and other locations across the assigned service area.
• Good communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prepare clear inspection reports and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work independently and manage field visits effectively.
