Job Summary
We are looking for a Vehicle inspector responsible for conducting detailed inspections of vehicles to assess their mechanical, electrical, structural, safety, and overall condition. The role involves identifying defects, documenting inspection findings, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards, and preparing accurate inspection reports.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles before purchase, sale, delivery, rental, or maintenance.
Inspect engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brakes, tires, electrical systems, AC, and other major components.
Check vehicle body condition for accidents, repainting, rust, dents, structural damage, and modifications.
Perform diagnostic checks using appropriate vehicle diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
Verify vehicle identification numbers, chassis numbers, engine numbers, mileage, and relevant documentation.
Conduct road tests where required to evaluate vehicle performance, handling, braking, transmission, and abnormal noises.
Identify mechanical and electrical faults and assess their severity.
Prepare accurate inspection reports with photographs, observations, and recommendations.
Estimate the severity and potential repair requirements of identified defects.
Ensure inspections are conducted according to company procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and applicable UAE regulations.
Maintain accurate inspection records and update vehicle inspection systems/databases.
Communicate inspection findings clearly to customers, management, sales teams, workshops, or other relevant departments.
Ensure all inspection equipment and tools are properly maintained and calibrated.
Follow all health, safety, environmental, and company policies.
Maintain professional and ethical standards and ensure inspection results are objective and accurate.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Automotive technical certification is an advantage.
Valid UAE driving license.
Good knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
Experience with vehicle diagnostic tools and OBD/scan equipment.
Good understanding of vehicle accident and structural damage assessment.
Experience :
2–5 years of relevant automotive inspection or workshop experience preferred.
Experience with passenger cars and SUVs is preferred.
UAE/GCC automotive experience is an advantage.
