We are a professional accounting, audit, tax and business advisory firm based in Dubai. We are expanding our accounting and tax services and are looking for a competent and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing Dubai team.
The successful candidate will work with multiple UAE clients and gain exposure to accounting, UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, financial reporting, audit support and management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Manage accounting, audit, taxation and advisory assignments for a portfolio of clients.
Visit client offices across the UAE and GCC as required for assignments, meetings and information gathering.
Assist with audit planning, fieldwork, working papers and audit documentation under the supervision of senior professionals.
Prepare and review financial statements, trial balances, general ledgers and supporting schedules.
Perform bank, receivable, payable and balance-sheet reconciliations.
Assist with UAE VAT return preparation, VAT reconciliations and related compliance work.
Assist with UAE Corporate Tax computations, documentation and compliance requirements.
Support internal audit assignments, including process reviews, control testing and preparation of observations/recommendations.
Collect, verify and analyze financial information and supporting documents from clients.
Communicate directly with client finance teams and management to obtain information and resolve accounting queries.
Prepare management reports, MIS and financial analysis as required.
Identify accounting discrepancies, control weaknesses and unusual transactions and escalate them to senior team members.
Prepare client deliverables, schedules, reports and professional working papers within agreed deadlines.
Coordinate multiple client assignments and maintain an updated status of work, pending information and deadlines.
Follow up with clients for outstanding documents and information required to complete assignments.
Assist senior professionals in preparing proposals, engagement documentation and client presentations.
Maintain professional confidentiality and comply with applicable accounting, audit, tax and firm policies.
Use accounting software, Microsoft Excel and digital practice-management tools to improve efficiency and maintain accurate engagement records.
Participate in continuous professional development and keep up to date with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, accounting and regulatory developments.
Travel extensively within the UAE and GCC countries for client assignments, meetings and business requirements.
Requirements:
Candidates with CA/CMA/CA-Inter Qualifications and Candidates completed CA article ship training can apply with expected salary in AED. Candidates should be prepared to travel extensively across UAE and CCC countries.
