THE DEAL
AED 3,000 to 5,000 a month depending on experience. No commission. Employment visa and medical insurance. Shop hours, 10am to 8pm, six days a week, Mondays off, at the shop in Umm Ramool. Start in November.
WHO WE ARE
AK Bikes is the UAE's largest pre-owned bicycle shop. 1,600 bikes sold. Hundreds of transactions a month, from a brake pad to a AED 9,000 bike, across Shopify, card, bank and cash. The books have to be right every day. You own that.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Post every sale and purchase in Zoho Books, daily.
- Reconcile card and bank every day, cash and petty cash every week. Chase missing receipts the same week.
- Record supplier bills and put payments up for approval.
- Prepare the monthly payroll and commission inputs from our trackers.
- Prepare VAT inputs for Amit, our external accountant, to review and file.
- Send a weekly report: cash, sales against target, margin, stock value, payables due.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE AT 90 DAYS
Books closed to the day. Bank and cash match with no unexplained gaps. Monthly report out by the 5th. Amit finds nothing to redo.
THIS IS FOR YOU IF
- B.Com or equivalent, with one to three years of bookkeeping in a UAE trading or retail business.
- Zoho Books, or QuickBooks or Xero and happy to switch. Strong in Excel or Google Sheets.
- You know UAE VAT.
- You are calm with cash, and you never adjust a number to make it balance.
- Fluent English. Hindi, Urdu or Arabic is a plus.
THIS IS NOT FOR YOU IF
- You want a quiet office. This is a bike shop. People walk past your desk all day.
- You only want to work five days.
HOW WE HIRE
