Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Accountant to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation compliance, and financial controls. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of UAE accounting practices, VAT, Corporate Tax, and financial management, with the ability to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage general ledger accounts, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payment processing.
Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and Corporate Tax requirements.
Prepare VAT returns and coordinate Corporate Tax calculations and filing requirements.
Handle month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Monitor cash flow, Petty cash, expenses, and financial performance.
Coordinate with external auditors and assist in annual financial audits.
Prepare financial reports, budgets, and variance analysis for management.
Review bank reconciliations and monitor outstanding receivables and payables.
Maintain internal financial controls and ensure adherence to company policies.
Provide guidance and supervision to junior accounting staff.
Coordinate with management on financial planning and cost optimization.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably including UAE experience.
Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and IFRS.
Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and auditing.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP ZOHO software.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Ability to handle multiple financial responsibilities independently.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Ability to manage large volume of transactions.
