Senior Accountant
Expected salary: AED 7,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for full-cycle accounting across a group of companies, with support from and supervision of junior accounting team members
- Overseeing accounting records and transactions for multiple entities within the Group
- Preparation and filing of UAE VAT returns
- Preparation of UAE Corporate Tax returns and related tax calculations
- Maintaining proper accounting and tax documentation in accordance with UAE requirements
- Month-end and year-end closing for Group entities
- Preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Supporting external auditors and preparing the required schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or professional qualification in Accounting/Finance
- At least 5 years of hands-on accounting experience in the UAE
- Strong practical knowledge of UAE accounting, VAT and Corporate Tax requirements
- Hands-on experience in independently preparing and filing UAE VAT returns
- Hands-on experience in independently preparing UAE Corporate Tax returns
- Good knowledge and practical experience with Zoho Books
- Strong Excel skills
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Strong communication skills
- Proactive, responsible, detail-oriented and well-organised
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Strong Advantage
- Previous experience handling accounting for multiple companies / legal entities
- Experience in car rental or automotive service
- Experience with inventory and warehouse accounting
