Dear Captain / Hiring Manager,

I am writing to apply for a Deckhand position on your yacht. I come from a commercial cargo vessel background, where I learned what it truly means to live and work at sea — long days, shared responsibility, discipline, and respect for safety. I am now looking to transition into the yachting industry and bring that same work ethic into a new environment.

Working on commercial vessels taught me to be dependable, hands-on, and aware of my role as part of a team. I am used to deck maintenance, cleaning, following procedures, and supporting daily operations without needing constant supervision. Life at sea also trained me to stay calm under pressure and adapt quickly to different situations.

Although I am new to yachting, I am eager to learn, open to feedback, and motivated to grow. I take pride in doing things properly and understand the importance of presentation, professionalism, and supporting the crew to ensure smooth and safe operations on board.
