I am writing to express my interest in the IT Support Engineer position with several years of hands-on experience as an IT Support Engineer and IT Officer in both the hospitality and banking sectors, I have developed strong expertise in supporting complex IT environments, ensuring system reliability, and delivering prompt, professional technical support to end users.
In my current role as IT Engineer at Rolla Suites Hotel in Dubai, I manage and maintain the hotel’s computer hardware, software, and networking systems. I am responsible for monitoring servers, workstations, and network devices; implementing IT policies and procedures; and ensuring the security and integrity of data. I also coordinate with vendors, oversee IT budgeting and inventory, and support other departments in identifying and implementing technology solutions to improve operational efficiency. Additionally, I stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and best practices to ensure the IT infrastructure remains robust and secure.
Previously, as an IT Officer at Vision Imperial Hotel, Dubai, I provided comprehensive IT support to hotel staff on-site and remotely. My responsibilities included managing networking devices such as firewalls, switches, and access points; setting up and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, biometric devices, IP phones, POS, and administering Windows Server environments; and managing Active Directory and Microsoft 365. I also maintained IT documentation, ensured regular backups, and worked closely with vendors and service providers.
Earlier in my career, as an IT Support Engineer at Allied Bank in Pakistan, I developed strong troubleshooting skills, resolving hardware, software, and network issues efficiently. I installed and configured hardware and software, created and maintained technical documentation, and contributed to implementing secure remote access solutions that improved user productivity and system performance.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) from KFUEIT, Pakistan, and am proficient with tools and platforms such as IDS, Trend Micro Apex One, Paytrax, Ruiji Cloud, Unifi, SafeQ, Avaya, ILS, and Fortigate. My technical skills include software installation, application and desktop support,
wireless networking, hardware upgrades, LAN/WAN, Active Directory, Linux, and managing switches and access points.
