Hi, my name is Roshan, and I am offering mathematics tutoring for students up to high school level.
I am currently studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Loughborough University in the UK, and I have a strong academic background in mathematics, including an A in A-Level Mathematics. I have experience tutoring GCSE-level students both voluntarily and professionally, helping them build confidence, improve problem solving skills, and prepare effectively for exams.
I understand that many students struggle with maths not because they are incapable, but because they have not been taught in a way that matches how they learn. My approach is patient, clear and structured. I focus on breaking down difficult topics into simple steps, making sure students understand the reasoning behind each method rather than just memorising answers.
I can help with topics such as algebra, trigonometry, geometry, functions, statistics, probability, calculus basics, exam preparation, homework support, and general confidence-building in mathematics. Whether a student needs help catching up, improving grades, preparing for assessments, or aiming for higher marks, I adapt my lessons to their individual needs.
As a tutor, I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes. I believe that progress comes from consistent practice, clear explanations and encouragement. Alongside my tutoring experience, my engineering degree has strengthened my ability to apply mathematics in practical situations. This allows me to explain maths in a more relatable way and show students why the subject is useful beyond the classroom.
