The Astell&Kern AK500N functions as a central hub for high-resolution digital music management, streaming, and playback. It is highly regarded for its unique power management system and advanced audio conversion engines.
DAC Chipset: Dual Cirrus Logic CS4398Supported Formats: WAV, FLAC, ALAC, AIFF, APE, MP3, Native DSD64/128Digital Inputs/Outputs: AES/EBU, Coaxial, Optical, USB Type-A, USB Type-BAnalog Outputs: Balanced XLR, Unbalanced RCA, Fixed/Variable Line Out, and multiple headphone jacks (including a 2.5mm balanced port)
Real-time PCM to DSD Conversion: Features a dedicated hardware engine that handles native DSD playback. The AK500N converts high-resolution 32 bit/384 kHz WAV PCM and 24 bit/352 kHz FLAC PCM file to DSD64 data without any down-sampling.One-Click CD Ripping: Features a front-loading CD slot that rips physical discs directly into internal storage. It automatically pulls metadata and album art using the integrated Gracenote database.High-Reliability SSD Storage: Utilizes multi-level cell (MLC) SSDs rather than conventional mechanical hard drives. This configuration expands up to 4TB across four drive bays to completely eliminate vibrational noise.Robust Connectivity: Fully supports DLNA networking over Wi-Fi and Ethernet. This allows effortless streaming from PCs or local NAS servers via dedicated tablet and smartphone applications.
