الوصف
I am selling a vintage Japanese inkstone (ink slab) with carved dedication and inscriptions. The piece is a Amahata Ink Stone created in 1941 Suzuri Sumi Frinder Calligraphy Shodo Shuji in excellent condition with no usage — the surface shows minimal wear and retains a smooth, even patina. The central area features several vertical lines of carved Japanese characters, and there are additional characters near the rim; the carving appears deliberate and well executed. The stone is circular with a shallow recessed ink-holding area and a raised rim, typical of a traditional scholar's inkstone. It is solid and reasonably heavy for its size. I have not tested it with ink but it looks fully functional for grinding ink sticks. No chips or cracks are visible in the photographed areas.
