Useful for large sets and productions while shooting on location, the Manfrotto Extra Large Pro Scrim All-in-One Kit measures 9.5 x 9.5' and is lightweight, quick and easy to setup, has grip gear integration, and features fabrics most popular with shooters.
The kit is built around a sturdy aluminum frame with an internal elastic cord that keeps it together when packed so you aren't fumbling for separate components.
The outstanding size of the frame makes it more than a light shaper, allowing you to create an environment on set.
Each of the fabric backdrops can be quickly clipped onto the frame and just as quickly unclipped when you want to swap out one for another. The black fabric absorbs light from the subject and can be used to create a light-to-dark ratio in flat light conditions, block window light or other illumination, or reduce reflections on shiny or mirrored surfaces. The 1.25-stop diffusion fabric both reduces the amount of light falling on the subject and is also a valuable tool when used overhead to tame bright, contrasting light sources such as the sun. What about mounting?
This is a complete kit so Manfrotto has you covered. The kit provides two ears - flat, notched metal plates that fasten anywhere on the tubular frame. The ears slip into the two provided grip heads, each of which have 5/8" receivers. Add two stands and you have a solid setup for an overhead or butterfly. The whole kit fits in the supplied rigid case.
