That's so disappointing to hear you guys such had horrible experience but i actually had an ok one! kaleidoscope was amazing ! a huge variety of food and one of the best buffets. Room service was fast and very nice. I'm shocked that you guys had such poor experiences. I will say that they are a bit stuck up with everything though. Overall experience want bad but Like you all said there are better places!

Agreed! Very obnoxious security at the Atlantis.

I had a friend staying at the Atlantis and we were heading to Aqua venture later. I was headed up the main stairwell at the aquarium towards the lobby and the security said I wasn't dressed appropriate and I couldn't go to the lobby !!!
I was in beach shorts and moreover there were hotel guests around the lobby upstairs in beach shorts!! . After arguing with him saying what if I was a guest at the hotel? Was it then ok to wear shorts? Or do i dress up in a suit and walk around in summer?!!

Very disappointed with the low service levels at a 5* hotel.

Was expecting a lot more than what we paid for. Limited variety of food and high price. You can pay less at Wafi gourmet for example and you get an excellent buffet of really tasty food not to mention the variety offered either in salads and appitizers or the main dishes.
Wont ever go again for Ramadan Iftar at Atlantis even though i went to Wafi twice and to spice island also twice.

I really wish i had read the reviews here before we went.

The hotel is a masterpiece, architecture, location, views.. But that’s IT!!.. Good for a drive and a stroll around.. Food is just average, security is rude not befitting a service industry and surely not for 5*ATLANTIS.. My aged father had to use the lift from the aquarium to the lobby up, the security literally shooed us away, but we still made it to the lift. I did lodge a complaint with the lobby manager, see where it ends up.

Agreed, poor management and disappointing food! The management don't care about what you think

This is one of the most prestigious Hotels in UAE and everybody wants to visit this beautiful location.

I have been there myself many a times, and even love Kaleidescope for its wonderful buffet.

But this August, when my parents were visiting from out of town, they refused to let us visit the Bar Azura at the Lobby, because we couldn't remember the name of the bar. This was at the main stairwell from the large aquarium window up to the lobby level.

Moreover, when my Fiancée tried to complain to the security manager in charge, he was as obnoxious and told my fiancee in a stern voice to calm down and that there is nothing wrong here.

Finally, I remembered the name of the bar and told the security guard who told us it was ok for us to go now, which is when i told him no thank you JHB takes better care of their customers.

So much for a world renowned Hotel!!!!
