Last weekend, after hours of exhaustive shopping at Ibn Battuta Mall, I ventured into The City Deli, a fun and cozy deli-restaurant which attracted me towards it with its “deli-cious” looking array of bread-snacks.
I then quickly went through the menu and discovered that it was a sandwich joint and simply reading the various filling’s combinations made my mouth water. I dint need much convincing after that.
The servers at The City Deli were patient and let me ponder over what I wanted to have, and being a Libra that can turn out to be quite a time consuming task. Soon after I realized why; the menu was also an order slip, which meant I just had to tick through what I wanted and inform the waiter of my choice of bread and it’s done! Voila! There’s my Chicken Le Grande and Oreo Crush Frappe in a matter of minutes.
The sandwich tasted fresh and the veggies still had its crunch in every bite. The chicken was juicy, tasty and tender, just the way it’s meant to be. On a whole the sandwich was bursting with flavour!
My Oreo crush frappe had me completely refreshed, enough for me to go on another one of my rounds for my shopping spree.
While I enjoyed my meal I noticed the wall musings in the café and found myself randomly smiling as I found the bread-puns quite witty.
All in all, I found my casual venture into The City Deli café to be a nice and relaxing experience and will definitely find myself there again as I am already craving one of their sandwiches.

I had breakfast ordered from Haandi... horrible pathetic food i just threw away the chana and aaloo. the taste was worse than a malbari chana aloo dish.. will never go again.

I would say Brilliant cooking ....amzaing food.. great taste..value for money..decent resturant...and much recommanded for Spicy food.
Ya as Zahir mentioned that he took the left overs home and eat it next morning after donno how many hours..and what shape and with God know what add-ons.. no wonder this illness may happened. So be carefull whenever you dine-out leave the leftovers or even if it take away dont keep the food for ages and then eat then when you will get sick dont blame the resturant.

I took dinner over there twice....it was really nice...
Even the price is quite good.

Well I have eaten from here a couple of times with friends and family and non of us got vomiting or diarrhea. I also didn't come across any cockroaches around...

A bit expensive, yes, but the pasta is great, so its worth it. Al dente. Excellent view of the fountain while you're dining. My date loved it.

Most authentic Thai food experience. Nice little place in Barsha, and also have delivery. Must have papaya salad.

I truly agree with all the guys here who says its the best sushi in town. Really fresh. Must try for Japanese food lovers out there.

Whenever I am on the Jumeirah Beach Road, Sumo Sushi is a place I have to visit. Although not a fancy Japanese restaurant, but it serves one of the best and freshest sushi in town. Prices are also not steep, and there is plenty of choice. I often order delivery from them as well, and the food is as fresh as served at the restaurant. Must visit for a true sushi fan.
