OIL IN DUBAI

Is it True or just a gimmick to increase Investor confidence...anyone working in the Oil Industry do let us know the True Picture..

Just after the Financial Fallout..Oil In Dubai....sounds fishy...anyways....

1. it's true, they've found oil
2. it's just a little bit and they haven't fully tested or proven the reserves yet

I think its a PR stunt...

they announced it to be commercialised within a year. they dont even kno how much oil is there. furthermore they link it straight away to the supply of electricity.

As usual to little information is being released. It will only give confidence to those that have no doubt in what is going on here anyway.

oh and they have oil...from the late 60's

wasnt the last oilfield (rashid) discovered 1976?

why after 30 years? they found it under the last rock they havnt turned yet?

it is estimated 50-60 thousand barrels per day but as Doc said it is not yet confirmed.
anyway no need to be excited as it is not going to affect our lives.......

if it's recoverable, they can tie it into the existing production platform already out there (and within 12 months).........

but as I said..... this aint gonna be that much oil.......

Dubai oil production is currently around 70k barrels per day offshore and they have a teeny bit onshore too

Jake.... they found oil in Bahrain in 1932..........
and today we're drilling an exploration well offshore Bahrain..........

3D seismic surveys plus satellite imagery helps a great deal these days in finding potential new discoveries

The ruler of Dubai tweeted it on Thursday . he seamed to be really excited about it saying that it will take Dubai out of its economical crash !

Doc if its 10K max..how many years can it hold on..or..it will just make 10k + on the existing 70K...

only after the well and reservoir testing is completed will they know what it's worth................... my guess it'll give them $500,000 additional income for maybe 10 years........ so not enough to ease DXB's financial woes.... but every little bit does help....

compare it with AUH's current $1.6 billion per day oil output capacity.....
