Part-time employment for teenagers

I'm a British student, 17, looking for part-time employment. I speak on the behalf of thousands of teenagers whom cannot find employment anywhere in this city. Are there any agencies that I can submit my curriculum vitae to? Just a suggestion, but perhaps dubizzle could create a sticky in regards to youth employment. I would be incredibly grateful if anyone can help me, I receive no allowance and any employment or internship availabilities would be much appreciated.

There're no major facilities/amenities for teens in Dubai.

I'm a writer (amateur only because I haven't been published yet)...and believe me, I've been trying to look for a decent publisher since I was 14. Sent them to magazines like Kid Zone, Friday and Young Times, but no one wanted to hire me as a freelance writer even though my stories and grammar was far better than most of their 'educated' journalists. 20 now, and still looking for a decent publisher.
=P

You've raised a great idea though...and I really think that Dubizzle should create something like this for teens.

Apart from that, here're some links for you to go through. These agencies keep coming up with promotions and stuff, and the pay's usually around 5k/month (or higher) for 10 hours work or so.

Good luck, bro!

Thanks for your response, the links are greatly appreciated :). I have long resigned myself to the fact that the human resources departments leave something to be desire; however at the moment the problem is particularly acute which necessitates me finding employment. Anyway, hopefully something should turn up soon and if it does, I know who to said my thanks to.

Regards, James

@James: Good luck! I've been trying the same. My suggestion would be to get some of your papers published in a well-known blog on the internet or something along those lines and then show their links in their portfolio.

@Ummair: I'm in the middle of my studies in computer engineering (gap year before my last year in a university in the States). I am also making my own website from scratch currently i.e lots of programming. What exactly do you mean by running the website on a day-to-day basis? Can you provide more details? This sounds very interesting. What website is this btw? Is it already up and running?

@Mujtuba: Do you have anything for university students as well? I'm doing computer and electrical engineering with a minor in business.
